MG Philippines reports 6,343 unit sales in 2021, an 85% increase from 2020’s sales figure

Sales of the MG Philippines’ most popular models—the MG ZS Crossover SUV and MG 5 subcompact sedan—account for the lion’s share of the brand’s sales in 2021

(TCCCI) - MG Philippines – After an eventful 2021, MG Philippines reports sales figures of 6,343 units—an 85% increase against the same period in 2020, marking the brand’s robust year-on-year growth. 2021 is also a milestone year for MG Philippines, marking the brand’s best sales achievement in just three short years of existence. MG Philippines also ended 2021 on a high note recording over 2,000 sales in Q4 2021 alone, logging the brand’s strongest sales quarter in 2021.

Driving sales for MG Philippines are its two best-selling models: the MG 5 Sedan which is highly regarded in the local subcompact sedan category for its best-in-class features, exterior size, cabin and luggage space, and driving dynamics; and the highly popular, value-laden ZS Crossover SUV. From January to December 2021, total sales of the MG 5 sedan are recorded at 2,013 units, while 4,158 units of the ZS Crossover SUV were sold over the same period. Compared to their YTD sales figures in 2020, both reflect marked increases at 85% and 117% for the MG 5 and ZS, respectively.
